Localblend vs Podium
Podium is an AI messaging and lead-conversion platform for local businesses, built around texting, phones, payments and an "AI Employee", with reviews as one part. It's sold through its sales team on 12-month contracts. Localblend is focused review management for one location or hundreds, and for the agencies that serve them, with published prices and monthly billing. If what you need is more reviews and faster replies, Localblend does that for a fraction of the cost. If you want texting, calls, payments and reviews from one vendor, Podium is broader.

Which is right for you
- You run one location or hundreds, and the job is more reviews and faster replies across all of them.
- You want a published price and the freedom to cancel, not a 12-month contract.
- You want to reply to Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews from the same inbox as Google.
- You're an agency that wants to run reviews for clients under your own brand.
- You want texting, phones, webchat, payments and reviews from one vendor.
- Your bigger problem is missed calls and slow replies to leads, which its AI Employee is built for.
- You're a car dealer, home-service firm or med spa that wants Podium's software for your industry.
- You want automatic AI replies on Google and Facebook today.

Pricing for five locations
Podium doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page asks you to talk to sales, and says the monthly cost depends on your industry, integrations, volume and carrier fees. Sites run by other software companies report plans of about $399 and $599 a month; Podium hasn't confirmed those figures or how they change with the number of locations. The one per-location fee Podium states is a $5 monthly texting registration fee for each US location.
Contract and cancelling
Podium's terms of service (effective 1 October 2026) set a 12-month first term that renews automatically for the same length unless either side gives written notice at least 30 days before it ends. You can't cancel partway through, fees are non-refundable, and leaving early for any other reason means paying for the whole term.
Localblend bills monthly or yearly with no lock-in. You can cancel from your account at any time, and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Replying to reviews
In Localblend, each reply is drafted by AI and approved by you. One click opens the review on Google, Yelp or TripAdvisor with your reply filled in, and you press Post, so you see it exactly as customers will.
Podium publishes replies to Google and Facebook from its app, and on higher plans it can reply automatically by star rating. For its other review sites you follow a link and reply there, and its help centre says Yelp can be added only for sending review requests, not for replies. If most of your reviews are on Google and Facebook and you want replies to go out on their own, that's a point in its favour today. Automatic replies by an AI agent are coming to Localblend soon.
For agencies
Podium's partner terms (effective 2 June 2026) let resellers bill their own clients, but they must "conduct all business under Partner's own name" and may not white-label Podium. Resellers also agree not to offer competing tools during the agreement and for a year after. Podium also runs a referral programme that pays $500 per referred business.
